Pop-ups and paper Engineering Workshop April 21st!

POP IN to the Woodbury Community Library on
SUNDAY APRIL 21ST FROM  2 - 4 P.M. FOR AN AFTERNOON OF POP-UPS
with paper engineer  Ellen Bresler

This workshop is suitable for ages 7 to adult.
Children under 7 should be accompanied by an adult.

In honor of Earth Day we’ll re-use and recycle. We’ll provide the tools, paper, and materials, but feel free to bring your favorite scissors and paper, too such as junk mail, cards, greeting cards, calendars, cereal boxes, or old magazines.

Watch this video about pop-up books

“Many pop-up techniques are far simpler than they look but with a few simple cuts and folds you can take a common, flat piece of paper and bring it to life. My biggest thrill is showing you how, then standing back and watching your imagination bloom. I’ve been playing with paper for nearly 30 years and I never get tired of learning new mechanisms. I’m shameless about trying to recruit new paper engineers, too.”  --- Ellen Bresler
